The international animation and media festival LINOLEUM (organized by Animagrad animation studio), the HAPPY HIPPIE LAB stop motion animation studio, with the support of the British Council in Ukraine, arranges the workshop of the well-known British animator Tim Allen on April 15-19, 2019, who has an experience of 20 years, and his filmography includes such works as: "The Isle of Dogs" (2018) and "Fantastic Mr. Fox" (2009) by Wes Anderson, "Corpse Bride" (2005) and "Frankenweenie" (2012) by Tim Berton.
Allen created an animation for Oscar-winning "Peter and the Wolf" (2006) directed by Susie Templeton and for the Oscar-nominee "My Life as a Courgette" (2016) by Claude Barr. For many years he has been working on TV series, including "Firefighter Sam", "Creature Comforts", "Postman Pat", and animated 29 episodes of "Shaun the Sheep" series for Aardman Animations. Tim was the supervisor of animation of the "Magic Piano" project and special editions of the "Club Penguin" for Disney. In the meantime, Tim is regularly conducting workshops and meetings with young as well as experienced animators.
Tim Allen will hold a five-day workshop for seven participants, who will be selected on the basis of their experience and showreel of works. Animators and directors with experience in stop motion technology are invited to apply for participation. Participation will be free of charge, and works created during the workshop will be published on the website of the festival www.linoleumfest.com and Facebook partner pages.
