In Ukraine, the 6th Children Kinofest, cinematic art festival for children and teenagers, has just finished. For the second year in a row, a Ukrainian film gets the Grand Prix – this year the winner according to the audience voting is The Stolen Princess animated feature by Oleg Malamuzh.
On June 9 at the festival closing ceremony in Kyiv Rus cinema the winners of international competition were announced. A favorite among audience jury, The Stolen Princess has scored 4.79 points out of 5. The second place was given to an Estonian film Eia’s Christmas at Phantom Owl Farm with 4.75 points. The third place went to a UK film The Zoo with 4.64 points. As usual, the winner was determined via direct audience voting – at the entrance to the cinema each viewer received a ballot to evaluate the film they have watched.
At the closing of Children Kinofest 2019, the winning film of the previous year was screened, which is a Ukrainian fantasy feature The Stronghold.
